I have a BSc from Kiel University (Germany) and MSc from GEOMAR – Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel (Germany). My main passion lies in the natural sciences and how the world “works”; it is more exciting than any fiction. Mixoplankton are a perfect example of that. When I have played enough with computers at work, I enjoy being completely immersed in nature and cut off from modern technology.
I am based at Swansea University (UK).
Trophodynamics of the cryptophyte-Mesodinium-Dinophysis complex. I am investigating the ecophysiology and trophic interactions functioning within the TMD complex via computer modelling. My work is a combination of in silico and empirical experimentations.
