MixITiN will employ 12 Members of Project Staff
MixITiN will train 11 early stage researchers (ESRs) in skill sets from molecular biology, ecophysiology and computer modelling, to environmental management, public and media engagement. The ESRs will thus be trained in multi-national and multi-disciplinary centres of excellence, with comprehensive engagement of academics as well as non-academics, to enable them to gain employment in a range of different sectors such as consultancy, government, academic, or allied industries. The synergy of training approaches provided to the ESRs will raise their capabilities and progress the field beyond the current state-of-the-art.
The MSCA Science Communications and Project Support Officer will be based in Swansea University (Wales, UK). The appointee will help the Project Coordinator (Dr Mitra) and her deputy (Prof Flynn) in the day-to-day management of the project, and also to play a major role in communicating the project activities to other scientists, the media and the public. While parts of the role will entail office-level activities (documenting and prompting time-managed processes, orders, arranging travel, hotels, collating and helping to prepare reports), there is significant opportunity to engage with the science of MixITiN and specifically for the delivery of dissemination aspects of the project (including web page management, social media, Wikipedia entries etc.).
Attendance will be required at the Europe-wide events running during the project.
General enquires concerning the MixITiN programme should be submitted to the Project Coordinator, Dr Aditee MITRA
